With seven large Game Reserves, totalling 750 acres, animals such as lions, giraffes, rhinos, zebras, and over 1,000 animals are free to roam in a more spacious environment.

St. Jacobs Farmers' Market was established in April 1975 and is a farmers' and flea market in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. It is the largest year-round farmer's market in Canada, and is a popular destination for residents of the town and nearby communities, as well as tourists. The English as a Second Language program is for students who have recently arrived in Ontario schools from countries where the usual means of communication is a language other than English. The program helps students develop the proficiency in English required for success in the secondary school education program. Students’ English language proficiency and math skills are individually assessed at the ELL Welcome Centre. The Welcome Centre is located at 325 Louisa Street West, Kitchener Ontario. Secondary schools must refer newcomer families directly to the ELL Welcome Centre. Additional information on the English as a Second Language program is available by contacting a senior elementary school guidance counsellor, the guidance department at any secondary school, or the Waterloo Region District School Board Education Centre, 519-570-0003×4466.

The Laurier English and Academic Foundation (LEAF) program is an academic English program for applicants to Laurier who must provide evidence of English proficiency. As a student in the LEAF program, you will learn from certified, highly qualified English as a second language (ESL) instructors who have experience teaching in Canada and around the world.

LEAF will prepare you for success in your undergraduate program by helping you adapt to the academic culture at Laurier and to life in Canada. You'll also complete a course for academic credit, meaning you'll start your undergraduate program having already completed a course towards your degree.

Conestoga College

Conestoga College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning is a public college located in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. Established in 1967, Conestoga serves approximately 23,000 registered students through campuses and training centres in Kitchener, Waterloo.

In order to be accepted to a Conestoga College program, you must meet the program admission requirements and provide proof of English proficiency. Conestoga College requires 6.0 IELTS Academic (with no band less than 5.5) or 80 TOEFL .

Students who do not meet admission requirements can join the English for Academic Studies program. This four-level English for Academic Studies program focuses on the listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills required for college/university studies. Students start at a level determined by scores on an in-house placement test. In levels 2 and 3, students reinforce English skills through Canadian Perspectives courses, as well as through core English skills courses. Concurrent with English studies in Level 4, students take post-secondary credit courses. There are three, 15-week main intakes per year, which begin in January, May, and September. We also offer midterm (7-week) intake options in March, July, and November, which are reserved for first-time international students only. These accelerated, 7-week delivery options will require a higher language placement test score.
